Applied Scientific Research is involved in a highly ambitious research project, under contract to Sandia National Laboratories, to develop a three-dimensional vortex-boundary element code for simulating high Reynolds number flow about thin, flexible, porous membranes.
In the following, we will present partial results from componets of the code that have been completed successfully:
A 3D Regularized Galerkin Boundary Element Method for simulating potential flow about zero thickness membranes
A high-order Vorticity Redistribution Method for grid-free simulation of 3D diffusion in free space
